Weighing the Implications of Delayed Power Projects


The federal government has been unwavering in its push to achieve set power targets. However, it appears some contractors are yet to key into the vision, considering the delay in delivery of some critical power projects. JULIET ALOHAN of LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPERS examines the implications of these delays on the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).


The federal government’s power projection targets may not go as planned if the delay in the completion of some power plants under the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPPs) and the Kaduna power plant is anything to go by.
